Screen colour ≠ printed colour

Your screen glows in RGB; we print CMYK ink on material. Bright and neon colours print more muted — typical shifts below. For exact brand colours, send CMYK or Pantone values in your file, or choose the colour-matched service.

Metal Letters FAQs

How much do metal letters cost in Malaysia?
From RM 50.00. The price comes from the two numbers you enter above: the letter height and the overall width of the whole line of text. Taller letters cost more per metre of text, and a longer line costs more because it is simply more letters. You never have to count the letters yourself — the calculator does it, and the price updates as you type.
What size should I enter?
Letter height is the cap height of your tallest letter — a capital A measured top to bottom, not the height of the whole block of text. Overall width runs from the left edge of the first letter to the right edge of the last one, spaces included. The diagram above the size fields shows both. Two stacked lines are two order lines, one for each line. As a rule of thumb, 200–400mm letters suit a shopfront fascia read from across the road, and 80–150mm a reception wall.
Stainless or EG Colourbond steel?
Both are a flat laser-cut plate and both hang the same way; what differs is the money and how long the finish lasts. Stainless 304 is the lobby and building-name answer — it holds its finish in city and coastal air, wipes clean, and the gold and black are PVD, meaning the colour is bonded into the steel in a vacuum chamber rather than sprayed on top, so there is nothing to flake off after a year. EG Colourbond is zinc-coated steel with a factory white finish, and it is roughly a third of the price: the everyday Malaysian shopfront letter, sprayable in your brand colour, and cheap enough to take down and re-spray when the brand changes. If it is a reception wall or a building name, buy stainless. If it is a shoplot fascia on a budget, buy EG.
Which stainless finish should I choose?
Brushed hairline silver is the corporate default: the grain hides fingerprints, which matters on a lobby wall people walk past. Gold hairline is the same brushed surface with a gold PVD coating. Black PVD is the finish most modern office fascias specify, and it also comes in a heavier 1.5mm plate for letters over about 500mm tall that need the extra rigidity and a thicker visible edge. Mirror-polished silver is the brightest thing we cut, and gold mirror is the top of the range — what jewellers, private clinics and bridal boutiques ask for by name. Both mirrors show every fingerprint, so keep them above hand height. There is also a sprayed gold and a sprayed silver in 1.5mm, which give you the metal colour at a lower price; they are paint rather than PVD, so keep those two indoors or under shelter.
Can you paint stainless to my brand colour?
No, and that is deliberate. The finish on a stainless letter is the sheet itself, and two-pack paint does not key properly to a PVD surface — it will lift at the edges inside a year and you will be looking at a patchy letter on a lobby wall. If you need an exact Pantone or RAL, take the EG Colourbond steel in the same picker and add the 2K spray finish, which wraps the face and the cut edges in automotive paint and clear coat. That is why the paint options only appear once you select an EG material.
Does galvanised steel rust in Malaysian weather?
EG Colourbond is steel with a zinc coating and a factory colour layer, which is why it lasts on a shopfront where bare mild steel would not. The vulnerable part is the cut edge, where the laser exposes raw steel. Indoors or under a deep awning that is fine as supplied. For anything genuinely exposed to rain, take the 2K spray finish: it wraps the face and the cut edges in two-pack automotive paint and clear coat, and that is what keeps the letters clean for years rather than months. The upside over stainless is that when the brand changes these can come down, be re-sprayed and go back up.
0.5mm or 1.5mm?
0.5mm is the everyday shopfront letter — the cheapest metal letter we make, light enough that mounting is trivial, and perfectly stable indoors or on a sheltered fascia. 1.5mm is the heavy gauge: a thick, clearly visible edge from the street, and enough stiffness that a large letter on a windy outdoor fascia stays flat instead of oil-canning in the middle. Minimum letter height on this range is 50mm, because thin folded steel below that cannot hold its shape through cutting and finishing.
Can you install it for me?
Yes. On-site installation in KL and Selangor is one charge per job — one visit fixes every letter in your order, whether it is 3 letters or 30 — starting at RM350 for a ground-floor wall or fascia and stepping up floor by floor, because the higher the sign goes the more access equipment the job needs; above the 5th floor we quote after a site survey, since that means a boom lift or a gondola and a permit from the building. Ordering two lines of text or several letter products? Still one visit and one charge — at the highest floor among them. Doing it yourself instead? Add the full-size paper template — tape it up, mark the holes through it, and every letter lands level and evenly spaced first time.
