Silicone-jacketed LED neon flex, bent by hand to your letterforms and mounted on the backboard you choose. It draws a fraction of what glass neon does, runs cool enough to touch, does not shatter, and lasts about 50,000 hours — which is why nobody has bent real glass for a shop sign in years. 2. Your lettering

How to measure: each line has its own letter height — the cap height of its tallest letter — and its own overall width, measured from the first letter to the last including the gaps. How much does a custom neon sign cost in Malaysia?
About RM22 per character at 10 cm tall, plus RM35 for the driver and wiring — so a seven-letter name at 15 cm is RM266 and a four-letter "OPEN" at 20 cm is RM211. Type your words above and the price updates as you type. Every other neon maker here quotes over WhatsApp; you can see ours before you ask.
What size should I make it?
You do not enter a width and a height — you type your words and choose how tall the letters are, and the sign comes out however wide that makes it. 10 cm letters suit a desk or a shelf, 15 cm a wall behind a counter, 20 cm and up a shopfront window. A seven-letter word at 15 cm ends up roughly a metre across.
Is it real neon?
No, and that is the point. It is LED neon flex — a silicone tube lit along its length that looks like bent glass and behaves nothing like it. It draws a fraction of the power, runs cool enough to touch, does not shatter if it is knocked, and lasts about 50,000 hours. Glass neon has not been used for a shop sign here in years.
Can I put it outside?
No. These are indoor and sheltered positions only — a covered porch or a shop window is fine, direct rain and full afternoon sun are not. If you need a lit sign for an exposed fascia, a box-up letter or a lightbox face is the product for that job.
How does it plug in?
A 12V adaptor on a 1.5 m lead with a Malaysian 3-pin plug and an inline on-off switch, included. For letters under 30 cm you can choose a 5V USB lead instead, so it runs off a power bank or a laptop — above that size the sign draws more than USB supplies, so the option is not offered.
How is it mounted?
On the backboard you choose: a hollow-out black PVC board cut to the outline of your text (included), clear acrylic cut to shape, a clear rectangle panel, or an acrylic stand it sits in on a table. Hanging wire and hooks or standoff wall screws come in the box — pick which when you order and we drill the board for it.
How long does it take?
7 working days to dispatch. Every character is bent by hand from LED flex, the backboard is cut to that outline, and the sign is wired and burn-in tested before it is packed — which is also why this is one of the few things we make that cannot be rushed.
