Terms & Conditions
Last updated: March 2026
1. Introduction
Welcome to Tandaku ("we", "our", "us"). These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website at tandaku.com and any related services, including the ordering of custom-printed signboards and large-format products (collectively, the "Services").
By accessing our website or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use our Services.
2. Age Restriction
You must be at least 18 years old to place an order on Tandaku. If you are under 18, you may use our Services only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to be bound by these Terms on your behalf. By placing an order, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.
3. Orders & Payment Terms
All prices on our website are listed in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) and are inclusive of any applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. We reserve the right to update prices at any time without prior notice; however, price changes will not affect orders that have already been confirmed and paid for.
An order is considered confirmed once full payment has been received through our payment gateway, Billplz, and you have received an order confirmation via email. We accept payments via:
- Online banking (FPX) for all major Malaysian banks
- Credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard)
- E-wallets supported by Billplz
We reserve the right to reject or cancel any order for reasons including but not limited to: payment issues, suspected fraud, inappropriate content, or operational limitations.
4. Order Accuracy & Approval
You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of all information provided when placing an order, including:
- The content, spelling, resolution and suitability of your uploaded artwork
- Correct shipping address and contact information
- Chosen material, size, finishing and product
- Any special instructions or preferences
You are responsible for the final content of your artwork.
We run an automatic preflight and a designer file check on every order, and we'll flag obvious problems (low resolution, wrong dimensions, missing bleed) before printing. However, we print your design as supplied — please double-check spelling, colours, layout and sizing, as we cannot detect every content error. Once your order goes to print, no further changes can be made, and reprints to correct customer-supplied content are chargeable.
Tandaku is not responsible for delays, reprint costs, or delivery failures caused by incorrect information provided by the customer.
5. Cancellation Terms
Before printing starts
Full refund, no questions asked — including while your file is being checked. Cancel via WhatsApp or email.
Once printing has started
Non-refundable. The order cannot be cancelled once it has gone to print, as the item is custom-cut to your size and printed with your artwork, and cannot be resold.
See our Return & Refund Policy for full details on refunds.
6. Intellectual Property Rights
Your artwork: You retain full ownership of any artwork, logos, designs or files you upload to our platform. By uploading a file, you grant Tandaku a limited, non-exclusive licence to reproduce and print it solely for the purpose of producing and fulfilling your order.
Your responsibility & warranty: You confirm that you own, or have the necessary rights and permissions to print, all content you submit. We print your files as supplied and do not verify ownership of the content. You agree to indemnify Tandaku against any third-party claim arising from the content you ask us to print, including copyright, trademark or defamation claims.
Portfolio use: We may showcase finished printed products in our portfolio, marketing materials, and social media. We will avoid disclosing confidential or private content, and you may opt out at any time by notifying us in writing via email at hello@tandaku.com.
Website content: All content on tandaku.com, including text, graphics, logos, icons, and software, is the property of Tandaku and is protected by Malaysian and international copyright laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our website content without our express written permission.
7. Content Restrictions
We reserve the right to refuse any order that includes content we deem inappropriate. The following content is strictly prohibited:
- NSFW content: Obscene, pornographic, or sexually explicit material
- Copyrighted characters: Characters from films, video games, anime, or other intellectual properties you do not have rights to
- Harmful content: Material promoting violence, hatred, discrimination, terrorism, or illegal activities
- Defamatory content: Material that infringes on the rights, reputation, or privacy of others
- Celebrity images: Photos of public figures used for commercial purposes without proper authorisation
If we refuse an order on these grounds, you will receive a full refund of any payment made.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Malaysian law, Tandaku shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our Services or any products purchased through our platform.
Our total liability for any claim arising from an order shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for that specific order.
9. Dispute Resolution & Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.
In the event of any dispute, we encourage you to first contact us directly via WhatsApp or email to seek an amicable resolution. If the dispute cannot be resolved informally within 30 days, it shall be referred to mediation in accordance with the rules of the Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC) in Kuala Lumpur.
As a Malaysian consumer, you may also file complaints with the Kementerian Perdagangan Dalam Negeri dan Hal Ehwal Pengguna (KPDNHEP) — the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs — or the Tribunal for Consumer Claims if you believe your consumer rights have been violated.
10. Modifications to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, services, or legal requirements. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of our Services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
For material changes that significantly affect your rights, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you via email or a prominent notice on our website.
