Frequently Asked Questions

Ordering & Pricing

How do I order printing online from Tandaku?
Open the product you need -- a signboard, roll-up stand, sticker, banner, poster, acrylic frame or display stand -- pick the material or model, enter your size or choose a preset, and tick any finishing. The exact price updates as you type, with no quote request and no login. Add it to the cart, upload your artwork (or leave it for later and WhatsApp it to us), tick the purchase terms and pay. We preflight your file, print, and ship or hold it for collection.
How is the price worked out?
Boards, stickers, banners and posters are priced by area -- your width times height at that material's rate per square foot -- plus any finishing you tick, such as drilled holes, lamination or die-cutting. Display stands, holders and hardware are flat prices per unit. There is no minimum charge: a very small sticker costs exactly its area at that rate. The price you see on the page is the price you pay; shipping and a small packing charge are shown separately at checkout before you commit.
Is there a minimum order?
No minimum quantity and no minimum spend -- one small piece is fine, and it costs exactly what its size works out to. Under 100 pieces the site price is the price. From 100 pieces of the same design and size we take 5% off, from 500 pieces 10% off, and from 2,000 pieces 15% off -- applied automatically in the cart when you set the quantity on one line, so you see the discount before you pay.
What payment methods do you accept?
DuitNow QR, FPX online banking for every major Malaysian bank (Maybank, CIMB, Public Bank, RHB, Hong Leong, AmBank and more), Visa and Mastercard credit or debit cards, and e-wallets including Touch ’n Go, GrabPay and ShopeePay -- all through HitPay, so your card details never touch our server. Pay-at-collection is not offered: production starts when payment clears.
Do I get an invoice or an e-Invoice?
Yes. Every paid order gets a tax invoice by email from our accounting system, and orders are submitted to LHDN's MyInvois as e-Invoices automatically. Enter your company name and TIN at checkout if you need the e-Invoice in your business's name.
Do you offer a trade or reseller price?
There is no separate reseller login or tier -- agencies, event companies and shopfitters order at the same instant prices as everyone else, and many of our customers are exactly that. Volume pricing is the quantity ladder above: 5% off from 100 pieces, 10% from 500, 15% from 2,000 of the same design, taken off automatically at checkout.

Materials & Specs

Which board should I choose for a signboard?
For an outdoor shopfront or anything in the weather, 3mm ACP (aluminium composite panel): rigid, UV-stable and flat at large sizes. For a premium indoor sign, reception logo or menu, acrylic in 3-5mm. For a lightweight indoor sign or event board, PVC foam board (5mm) is the everyday choice; KT board is the cheapest for a few days' use and PP hollow (Coroplast) is the budget outdoor board for a week or two. Our signage page lists every board with its price per square foot.
What sizes can I order?
Any custom size within the sheet limits of each material -- most boards go up to 4 x 8 ft (1220 x 2440 mm), roll media (banners, stickers, posters) up to 5 ft wide by any length. Enter width and height in millimetres or pick a preset (A4 to A0, and the common feet sizes) and we cut to your exact dimensions.
What finishing can I add?
Boards: drilled corner holes, rounded corners, standoff mounts, matte or gloss lamination and double-sided print. Stickers: gloss or matte lamination, kiss-cut or die-cut to shape (DTF kiss-cut adds 20% to the sheet). Banners: eyelets, pole pockets and hemmed edges. Each option is a checkbox on the product page and prices itself before you add to cart.
Roll-up banner, standee, X stand or T-bar -- which display stand do I need?
A roll-up banner is the all-rounder: 2 x 5 ft or 3 x 6 ft, the print retracts into its base and sets up in a minute. A human standee is a cut-to-shape board on a foot for a life-size figure or product. An X stand is the lightest and cheapest floor stand for a 60 x 160 cm poster, indoors. A bunting stand hangs a 2 x 6 ft bunting on a pole -- tripod, round disc base, or the water base for outdoors -- all on our tripod bunting stand page. For a booth back wall it is a pop-up backdrop; for a sampling desk, a promotion counter or pop-up table. Each stand page has its own FAQ with the exact graphic size it takes.
Do the display stands come with the print?
Roll-up banners always include the printed insert. X stands, bunting stands, promotion counters, pop-up tables and pop-up backdrops are sold two ways: the unit alone (fit a graphic you already have) or with the graphic printed and fitted. The with-print option is a separate line on the same page, so you can see both prices.
What is the difference between sticker types?
Label stickers (vinyl or paper, cut to any shape) are the general-purpose stickers for packaging and products. Vehicle stickers use outdoor-grade vinyl for cars and vans. Wall, floor, window and lift stickers are matched to the surface -- removable adhesive for walls and glass, anti-slip lamination for floors. Magnetic stickers are for car doors and fridges. DTF stickers are UV-printed transfers for hard surfaces, and DTF sublimation transfers are for polyester garments.

Artwork & Files

What file formats can I upload for printing?
We accept .ai, .pdf, .svg and high-resolution images (PNG/JPG). Vector files (.ai, .pdf, .svg) give the sharpest print. Files up to 30MB upload directly; for larger or TIFF files, paste a Google Drive or Dropbox link instead, or send it to us on WhatsApp quoting your order number.
What resolution does my file need?
For a vector file, none -- it scales without loss. For an image, aim for 150 dpi at the final print size for boards and banners viewed from a metre or more, and 300 dpi for stickers, posters and anything read up close. Set the artboard to the exact size you ordered and add 3 mm of bleed on stickers and die-cut shapes.
Do you check my file before printing?
Always. Every file runs through automatic preflight (resolution, dimensions, bleed) plus a designer review before anything is printed. If something is off -- a low-resolution logo, text too close to the edge, an RGB colour that will not print -- we message you on WhatsApp before we print. Nothing goes to press until it is right.
Can I order first and send the artwork later?
Yes. Pay for the size and material now and upload later from your order tracking page, or WhatsApp the file with your order number. Production starts once we have a usable file; if we cannot reach you within 7 working days we may cancel and refund less any costs already incurred, as set out in our purchase terms.
Why does the printed colour look different from my screen?
Your screen is backlit and shows colour in RGB; we print CMYK ink onto material, which reflects light and has a smaller colour range. Bright and neon colours -- pure red, lime green, electric blue, orange, magenta -- are the ones that shift most, printing noticeably more muted. Phones with vivid OLED screens exaggerate the gap further, and matte material looks softer than gloss. This is normal for every print shop, not a fault. To reduce surprises: supply your file in CMYK (or tell us the Pantone / CMYK values of your brand colours), avoid pure RGB primaries, and look at our screen-vs-print colour guide shown at the upload step. Our free RGB to CMYK converter at tandaku.com/tools/rgb-to-cmyk-converter previews the shift for any colour.
What is the colour-critical (colour matching) option?
For jobs where the colour must be exact -- brand colours, matching an earlier print, vehicle or shopfront colour schemes -- tick "Colour-critical job" when you upload your artwork. For a flat RM50 per item our team colour-matches the print to a photo of your physical sample (a previous print, Pantone swatch, packaging or business card), and a technician contacts you on WhatsApp or phone to confirm the target colour, printing a test strip on the actual material before the full run. Nothing prints until you have agreed the colour. Without this option we print to standard CMYK profiles with the normal screen-to-print variance.
I do not have a design -- can you help?
Start from a ready-made template on our templates page, adjust it to your size, and we will print it. For custom design work, message us on WhatsApp.

Shipping & Delivery

How long does delivery take?
We print in-house and dispatch from Seri Kembangan, Selangor. Standard turnaround is 5 working days for printed items -- boards, stickers, banners, posters -- 2 working days for sign and poster holders, and 7 for cut-out letters. Those are dispatch dates: the courier then adds 1-2 days within the Klang Valley and 2-4 to the rest of Peninsular Malaysia, with a few more for Sabah and Sarawak. You get a tracking link the moment it ships.
Can I get it faster? What is express turnaround?
Yes. Express dispatches your whole order the next working day for 30% of the order subtotal, with a RM20 minimum and a RM150 cap, added once at checkout rather than per item -- your order ships as one parcel, so it is one rush. Choose it in the cart, where the exact amount is shown. Three things to know: orders confirmed at or after 12pm noon start counting from the next working day; Saturday does not count, because we open on Saturday for collection only and dispatch nothing; and the clock starts when we APPROVE YOUR ARTWORK, not when you pay -- so an order placed Friday afternoon with an approved file dispatches on Tuesday. Box-up, backlit and 3D printed letters cannot be rushed at all: they are folded, welded, filled and cured, and express is simply not offered on them.
What does shipping cost?
Courier is calculated at checkout by destination and parcel size, and it is free on orders of RM200 and above. Every order also carries a small packing charge -- RM3 plus RM6 per square metre of print -- which covers the cardboard sandwich, corner protectors and tube that get a rigid board or a rolled print to you undamaged. It is shown as its own line before you pay.
Why does my large board say pickup or Lalamove only?
Parcel couriers refuse or damage rigid boards over 120 cm on any side, so anything bigger is collected from us or sent by Lalamove within the Klang Valley -- the checkout switches automatically and shows the Lalamove option. Rolled and folded items (banners, stickers, roll-ups, X and T-bar stands) go by courier at any size. Multi truss over 120 cm is local-only for the same reason.
Can I collect my order?
Yes -- choose self-collection at checkout and we message you when it is ready. We are in Seri Kembangan, Selangor, open Monday to Saturday, 9am to 6pm; the pickup guide with the map pin is sent with your ready notice. Orders not collected within 30 days of that notice may be disposed of.
Do you deliver nationwide?
Yes, to every state in Malaysia including Sabah and Sarawak, by J&T and the other couriers offered at checkout. Oversize boards outside the Klang Valley need a freight quote -- WhatsApp us the size and postcode before ordering.
Do you ship overseas?
Yes. Tick "Ship outside Malaysia" at checkout, choose the country and enter the postal code, and the live EasyParcel international rate appears before you pay -- we ship to Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Brunei, Australia, Hong Kong, Japan, the UK, the US and about twenty more. Overseas orders go by courier only, free shipping does not apply, and any import duty or tax at the destination is paid by the receiver. Singapore, Thailand and Indonesia are by far the cheapest lanes; Australia and Europe cost several times more, so if you can receive in a neighbouring country it is worth it. Rigid boards over 120 cm cannot go by international courier.

Returns & Refunds

What if my order arrives damaged or wrong?
Tell us within 7 days of delivery with photos of the item and the packaging. If the print is defective or damaged in transit we reprint it free or refund you -- your choice. If the file you supplied was the cause (low resolution, wrong size, RGB colour shift), we will show you the file next to the print and quote a reprint at cost.
Can I cancel or change an order?
Before production starts, yes: cancel by WhatsApp or email quoting your order number and we refund to the original payment method, less a RM10 administration fee where our team has already checked your artwork, any payment-gateway charge the gateway keeps, and the cost of material already cut for your order. Once production has started the item has been cut to your size and printed with your artwork, so it cannot be cancelled, changed or returned. The full rules are in our purchase terms.
Do you accept returns for change of mind?
No. Everything we make is custom to your size and artwork and has no other buyer, so change-of-mind returns are not possible once production starts. That includes display hardware ordered without printing, which is brought in for your order. Anything that arrives faulty is replaced -- see the question above.
Will the colour match my screen exactly?
Not exactly -- screens show RGB light and we print CMYK ink, so bright neon colours print more muted. That variance is normal for every print shop and is not a defect. If a colour must be exact, tick the RM50 colour-critical option when you upload and we match it to your physical sample with a test strip before the full run.
