A printed window sticker in Malaysia costs RM3.50 per square foot for frosted or ultra clear film and RM8.00 per square foot for one-way vision. A full 900 × 2000 mm glass door covered in frosted film is RM67.86; the same door in one-way vision, which shows your graphic to the street and still lets you see out, is RM154.98. The film you choose decides the price more than anything else, so this guide starts with what each one actually does on glass.
What window stickers cost
Prices for one piece, cut to the size you enter:
| Film | Per square foot | 900 × 2000 mm glass door |
|---|---|---|
| White high opaque | RM3.00 | RM58.12 |
| Frosted | RM3.50 | RM67.86 |
| Ultra clear | RM3.50 | RM67.86 |
| Polymeric bubble-free (grey back) | RM7.00 | RM135.54 |
| One-way vision | RM8.00 | RM154.98 |
Smaller jobs follow the same rates. A 300 × 400 mm clear opening-hours sticker is RM4.52, a 3000 × 500 mm frosted privacy band across an office partition is RM56.55, and a 6 × 3 ft (1829 × 914 mm) one-way vision panel for a shop window is RM143.93. There is no setup fee on a rectangle, and the same numbers show on the window sticker configurator as you type the size.
One-way vision: your graphic outside, your view inside

One-way vision is a perforated film. The printed side faces the street and shows a full-colour graphic; from inside, your eye looks through the tiny holes and the room keeps its view out. It is the usual choice for a shopfront, a clinic or dental surgery window, and the back window of a delivery van.
It works because of light, not magic, so three things are worth knowing before you order:
- It works best in daylight. The effect needs the outside to be brighter than the inside. At night, with the lights on indoors, people outside can see in more than they can by day.
- Keep text large. The holes break up fine detail, so small print and thin lines look grainy up close. Big shapes, photos and bold headlines read best.
- Rain blurs it. Water sitting in the holes on the outside of the glass reduces the see-through effect until it dries.
It costs more than plain vinyl — RM8.00 per square foot against RM3.00 to RM3.50 — because the film itself is a 180 micron perforated material. If you do not need to see out, white opaque film at RM3.00 per square foot does the same advertising job for less than half the price.
Frosted and clear: privacy and logos on glass

Frosted film gives the etched-glass look. It lets light through but blurs shapes, which is why it goes on meeting-room walls, clinic treatment rooms, toilet windows and ground-floor offices. A popular budget move is a frosted band at eye level rather than the whole pane: a 3000 × 500 mm band is RM56.55 where a full 1200 × 2000 mm pane is RM90.48.
Ultra clear film is glass-clear, so a logo, a set of opening hours or a "push / pull" printed on it looks as if it sits on the glass, with only a barely visible edge. Plan the design knowing that every unprinted part shows whatever is behind the glass.
Both are RM3.50 per square foot, and both can be cut to a shape, covered below.
Solid window graphics: white opaque and polymeric

When a window should show a graphic and nothing else — a sale poster on glass, a blacked-out storeroom window, a full-colour promotion — use a solid film:
- White high opaque vinyl (RM3.00 per square foot) blocks the view and makes colours print true. It is the cheapest film in the range.
- Polymeric bubble-free vinyl with a grey back (RM7.00 per square foot) is an 85 micron film with air-release channels, so trapped air can escape as a large pane is squeegeed down, and its grey back stops light showing through from behind. Pay for it when the pane is big.
Cut to size or die cut
Every window sticker comes cut to the rectangle you entered at no extra cost. Die cut means each piece is cut through the film and its backing to your outline — a logo shape, a round badge, a price burst — so it arrives already shaped. It adds a one-off charge per order plus a cutting charge on each piece that grows with the length of the outline:
| Job | Cut to size | Die cut |
|---|---|---|
| Ultra clear, 300 × 400 mm | RM4.52 | RM21.52 |
| Ultra clear logo, 600 × 600 mm | — | RM35.57 |
| White opaque, 600 × 600 mm | — | RM33.62 |
| Frosted glass door, 900 × 2000 mm | RM67.86 | RM106.86 |
If the design can sit on a clean rectangle — a frosted band, a clear panel with the text on it — cut to size is the cheaper route.
Sizes, and the 1520 mm limit

All the window films print off a 1520 mm roll, so one side of each piece must be 1520 mm or less. The other side can run long: a 1500 × 3000 mm panel is fine, a 2400 × 2000 mm one is not. A glass door around 900 mm wide and many single shop-window panes fit in one piece.
For a shopfront wider and taller than 1520 mm, the graphic is printed in panels that butt or overlap on the glass. The configurator will not price that size and will ask you to request a quote, because where the join falls depends on the glazing bars.
Measure the visible glass, not the frame, and order a few millimetres smaller on each side so the film does not ride onto the rubber seal.
One-way vision on car windows

The same one-way vision film is used on the rear windscreen of vans and cars, but not on the front windows: JPJ's tint limits apply to the windscreen and both front side windows. The rule, and what fits where on a vehicle, is covered in car sticker printing.
Artwork and fitting
- Design at the finished size in CMYK, with 3 mm bleed on every edge, and keep important text well away from the edges, because window frames and seals hide them. The full file checklist, including resolution for large graphics, is in how to prepare artwork.
- Design for distance. A window is read from the pavement or the car park, so fewer words in bigger type beat a paragraph of detail.
- Clean the glass first with water and a little detergent, dry it completely, and squeegee from the centre outwards so air is pushed to the edges.
- Which side of the glass: one-way vision and most shopfront graphics go on the outside face so the print faces the street; frosted privacy film usually goes on the inside, where it is protected from weather and cleaning.
Tandaku prints, cuts and ships the stickers from Seri Kembangan; fitting is not included in the price. Every file is checked before printing, and window stickers are ready in 5 working days from artwork approval, or the next working day with Express. See urgent printing.
FAQ
How much does a window sticker cost in Malaysia?
From RM3.00 per square foot for white opaque vinyl and RM3.50 for frosted or ultra clear film, up to RM8.00 for one-way vision. At Tandaku a 900 × 2000 mm glass door is RM67.86 in frosted film and RM154.98 in one-way vision, and a small 300 × 400 mm clear sticker is RM4.52.
What is a one-way vision sticker?
A perforated printed film. People outside see your full-colour graphic, while people inside can still see out through the tiny holes. It works best in daylight, when the outside is brighter than the inside.
Frosted or one-way vision for privacy?
Frosted film if you want privacy day and night and do not need a graphic: it blurs the view both ways, though a shape pressed right against the glass can still show and costs RM3.50 per square foot. One-way vision if you want to advertise to the street and keep your view out, at RM8.00 per square foot; it gives less privacy at night with the lights on.
What is the biggest window sticker you can print in one piece?
One side of each piece must be 1520 mm or less, because the films print off a 1520 mm roll; the other side can be longer. Larger shopfronts are printed in panels and quoted separately.
Do you install window stickers?
No. Stickers are printed, cut and shipped, or collected from Seri Kembangan; fitting is not part of the price. A small sticker is easy to apply yourself with a squeegee on clean, dry glass.
