This red panel reads RESIDENTS ONLY, ACCESS CARD REQUIRED in English and PENDUDUK SAHAJA, KAD AKSES DIPERLUKAN in Bahasa Malaysia, with a Chinese version (住户专用) available on its own or together with BM and English.
It is used at the pedestrian gate, lobby turnstile, lift lobby and car park barrier of condominiums, apartments, serviced residences and gated-and-guarded communities across Malaysia. Managements display it so that guards can point to a written rule when turning away visitors without a card, and so that residents are reminded not to let strangers through. Under the Strata Management Act 2013 by-laws, access control is one of the rules the management is entitled to enforce.
Default size is 200×300mm; other sizes from 150×200mm to 600×900mm. PVC foam board 5mm suits a lobby wall, PP hollow board is the budget choice, and Tandaku Colourfit EG steel sheet 0.5mm is best at an outdoor gate. Printed to order and delivered nationwide.
