About this sign
The sign reads ONE CARD ONE ENTRY, NO TAILGATING in English and SATU KAD SATU LALUAN, DILARANG MENGEKORI in Bahasa Malaysia, with a Chinese version (一卡一人) available alone or with the other languages. Tailgating, where a second person slips through behind a card holder, is the most common way access control is defeated.
It is fixed at turnstiles, speed gates, lobby doors and lift lobbies in condominiums, apartments, offices, co-working spaces, data centres and factories across Malaysia. Strata managements and building owners use it to back up their guards and to remind residents and staff not to hold the door for strangers.
Default size is 200×300mm, with other sizes from 150×200mm to 600×900mm. PVC foam board 5mm gives a rigid, smooth panel for an indoor lobby, PP hollow board is the budget option, and Tandaku Colourfit EG steel sheet 0.5mm is the long-life choice for an outdoor pedestrian gate.
