This is the KKM-style Dilarang Merokok sign that Malaysian restaurants and premises put up to show their no-smoking rule, laid out in the familiar Ministry of Health format with the no-smoking symbol and Bahasa Malaysia wording. The sign carries the Dilarang Merokok header; supporting lines can be set in BM+EN, BM+EN+Chinese or a single language. Under the Control of Tobacco Product Regulations, P.U.(A) 258, smoking is prohibited in a wide range of places including air-conditioned eateries, offices, shopping centres, hospitals, schools and public transport areas, and the premises owner is expected to display a no-smoking notice.
