About this sign
This yellow warning triangle sign reads High Noise Level Area in English with Awas! Kawasan Bunyi Bising in Bahasa Malaysia. A Chinese version (噪音区域) is also available, in BM+EN, trilingual or single-language layouts.
Noise exposure at work is regulated by JKKP (DOSH), and marking noisy zones is part of a basic hearing conservation programme. Factories post it at stamping, grinding and packaging lines, condos and offices at genset and pump rooms managed by the JMB, plants at compressor and chiller rooms, construction sites at piling and concrete areas, and airports and workshops at engine test bays. It is normally paired with the Ear Protection Must Be Worn sign.
