997 is the hotline of Malaysia's National Scam Response Centre (NSRC). Bank branches, ATM lobbies, post offices, kedai runcit with top-up and remittance counters, condo lobbies, surau, community halls and senior activity centres display this sign where phone scam and macau scam victims, often the elderly, are most likely to see it in time.
