A red-framed notice headed KITCHEN RULES / PERATURAN DAPUR listing six rules in English and Bahasa Malaysia: wash hands before handling food, wear hairnet and apron, no smoking or eating in the kitchen, keep raw and cooked food separate, clean as you go, and switch off gas and stoves after use. A Chinese version (厨房规则) is available. Restaurant, café, hotel, catering, cloud-kitchen, canteen and hostel kitchens across Malaysia mount it beside the wash basin or at the kitchen entrance, where cooks and helpers see it daily. It supports food-handler training with a plain reminder of the basics.
