Restaurants, kopitiams and mamak outlets, cafes, shopping malls, offices, hospitals, schools and universities, government buildings, petrol stations, transport hubs, hotels and condominium common areas across Malaysia use it at entrances, dining areas and corridors. Smoking and vaping are prohibited in gazetted areas such as eateries under KKM's tobacco and smoking product control laws, and premises owners are expected to display no-smoking notices.
