About this sign

A round red prohibition sign showing a figure holding a door, reading DO NOT HOLD THE LIFT DOORS – USE THE DOOR-OPEN BUTTON and, in Bahasa Malaysia, JANGAN TAHAN PINTU LIF – GUNA BUTANG BUKA PINTU. A Chinese version is available, and the default print carries BM and English. Forcing lift doors open with a hand, foot or trolley is a common cause of door faults and breakdowns, and management offices in condominiums, office towers, shopping malls, hospitals, hotels, car parks and universities across Malaysia use this sign to cut repair calls. It supports the safe-use messaging that lift contractors and JKKP (DOSH) inspections encourage. Sticker suits the car wall beside the control panel or the landing door frame; PP hollow board or PVC foam board 5 mm suit the lobby wall, and Tandaku Colourfit EG steel sheet 0.5 mm suits car park and loading bay lifts. Sizes run A6 to A1, printed to order in five language versions and delivered nationwide.
