This blue mandatory-circle sign reads RESPIRATOR MUST BE WORN in English and SILA PAKAI ALAT PERNAFASAN in Bahasa Malaysia, with a Chinese version (必须戴防毒面具) available on its own or with BM and English. The respirator-face pictogram is the standard mandatory PPE symbol. It is fixed at spray painting booths, solvent and chemical stores, fumigation and pesticide areas, grinding, sanding and woodworking shops, cement and silica dust areas, asbestos removal works, battery rooms, and confined plant spaces in factories, workshops, plantations and construction sites across Malaysia. Employers display it as part of the JKKP/DOSH PPE requirements where exposure to fumes, vapours or dust has been identified in their chemical health risk assessment.
