The sign reads HEARING PROTECTION ZONE – EAR PROTECTION MUST BE WORN BEYOND THIS POINT in English and ZON PERLINDUNGAN PENDENGARAN – PELINDUNG TELINGA WAJIB DIPAKAI MELEPASI KAWASAN INI in Bahasa Malaysia, with an earmuff symbol. A Chinese version is also available. Post it at the entrance to compressor rooms, generator sets, stamping and press shops, sawmills, palm oil mills, bottling lines, airport aprons and test cells. Employers in Malaysia are required under the Occupational Safety and Health (Noise Exposure) Regulations 2019 to mark hearing protection zones where noise exceeds the action level, and JKKP/DOSH inspectors check that the zone boundary is signed. The sticker fits doors and existing boards, PP hollow board is a budget notice, 5mm PVC foam board gives a rigid indoor panel, and EG steel sheet suits outdoor generator and compressor yards.
