This sign reads FIRE LIFT, FOR FIREMEN'S USE IN EMERGENCY in English and LIF BOMBA, UNTUK KEGUNAAN BOMBA SEMASA KECEMASAN in Bahasa Malaysia, with a Chinese version available. The red panel with a lift-car pictogram matches the fire-equipment signs used throughout the building. Mount it beside the fire lift landing doors on every floor and in the fire lift lobby of office towers, hotels, hospitals, shopping malls, government buildings and high-rise condominiums. The UBBL requires fire lifts in buildings above a certain height and Bomba expects them to be clearly identified so firefighters can locate them and the public knows not to rely on them during a fire.
