Emergency Exit Alarm Will Sound

This red panel reads EMERGENCY EXIT ONLY, ALARM WILL SOUND in English and PINTU KECEMASAN SAHAJA, PENGGERA AKAN BERBUNYI in Bahasa Malaysia, with a Chinese version (紧急出口 开门将触发警报) available alone or combined with BM and English. It is fixed on alarmed fire exit doors in shopping malls, supermarkets and retail stores, office towers, cinemas, hotels, factories, warehouses, schools and condominium stairwells across Malaysia, where the door must stay available for escape but is not to be used as a shortcut. Under the UBBL and Bomba fire certificate requirements, escape doors cannot be locked against exit, so an alarm plus this notice is the usual way to discourage misuse while keeping the door compliant. Default size is 200×300mm; other sizes from 150×200mm to 600×900mm.
