This sign uses the ISO 7010 W042 arc flash pictogram with DANGER – ARC FLASH HAZARD — APPROPRIATE PPE REQUIRED in English and BAHAYA! – KILAT ARKA — PAKAI PPE YANG SESUAI in Bahasa Malaysia. A Chinese version is also available. Mount it on low voltage switchboards, motor control centres, HT switchgear rooms, busbar chambers and generator panels that are worked on live or racked in and out. Factories, substations, commercial buildings and plant maintenance teams in Malaysia post it beside the single line diagram so that competent persons registered with Suruhanjaya Tenaga wear arc-rated PPE, as expected under the Electricity Regulations 1994. The sticker fixes onto panel doors and covers. PP hollow board is a budget notice, 5mm PVC foam board gives a rigid panel for switch rooms, and EG steel sheet suits outdoor substations and feeder pillars.
