This door sign reads LABORATORY in English and MAKMAL in Bahasa Malaysia, with a Chinese version (化验室) available. In healthcare it marks the in-house lab of a GP clinic, a pathology collection lab, a medical check-up centre or a hospital laboratory; the same plate also suits a school science lab, a university research lab, a food factory QC lab or a water testing lab in Malaysia. Clearly labelled laboratory and clinical areas are part of the signage private healthcare facilities are expected to maintain. The design is a landscape 3:1 door plate in navy acrylic-look style with a microscope pictogram.
